Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

When you create a CoinNote account, we collect the following information:

• User name
• Email address
• Password (stored securely in hashed form)

Your email address is used to send a One-Time Passcode (OTP) for account verification during registration and password recovery.

We do not collect location data, or payment card and bank account information.

Your budgeting data — such as expenses, accounts, categories, and notes — is stored locally on your device.

If you choose to turn on Automatic Transaction Tracking, the app additionally reads incoming SMS messages on your device. See section 4 below for full details of what is read and what is kept.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information only for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing your account
• Sending OTPs for account verification and password recovery
• Authenticating your account securely
